Arnone, Philip C. Sr., 88, Cresson, PA formerly of Moxham, passed away on April 11, 2024 at Memorial Medical Center. Born August 30, 1935 in Johnstown, son of the late Charles and Sylvia (Guarino) Arnone. Preceded in death by loving wife, Nancy J. Arnone; brother, James Arnone; daughter in law, Cindy Arnone. Survived by loving children, Charles married to Teresa, Philip Jr. married to Deborah McCarthy-Arnone, Kathleen married to Gerald Moon, Vincent married to Michele, Nicholas married to Gina, David married to Angela, Fr. Leo, John and Samuel married to Ellen; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Carole Ann Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Phil was a devoted lifetime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where he participated in numerous capacities, which include the funeral choir, funeral lunch group, eucharistic minister, lector, and the perpetual adoration chapel. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus #467 where he served 2 terms as Grand Knight. He was very proud of his Catholic Faith, his large family, and Italian heritage, which he was always ready to share with everyone. United with his late wife, he was particularly devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17th at MOSKAL & KENNEDY COLONIAL FUNERAL HOME, 219 Ohio St. Johnstown, where vigil service will be held in the evening. Friends received Thursday, April 18th from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. departure for Funeral mass celebrated 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with his son, Fr. Leo Arnone, committal St. Anthony Cemetery, Geistown. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Patrick’s building fund or to John Paul II Manor in his memory.
