Michael D. Lavely

Lavely, Michael D., 52, Johnstown, suddenly passed away August 2, 2023 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born August 27, 1970 in Johnstown PA.  Preceded in death by father Donald R Lavely. Survived by loving mother Marilyn (Martin) Lavely, son Brenden M Lavely, sister Susan A Lavely (Scott Dressick), nieces Ariana Dressick and Morgan Porter, nephews, Nicholas and Austin Dressick and his puppy Kirby. Michael was a 1989 graduate of GJHS where he played baseball, hockey and basketball.   He was the co-owner and operator of Ohio St Lounge Inc in Johnstown PA for over 20 years.   His passion in life was his son Brenden who followed in his footsteps in sports, playing many, but excelling as a pitcher in baseball, just like his dad.  Additionally, Mike loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins along with his recent passion for gardening.   Mike was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church in Moxham. Mike will be dearly missed by his extensive family at Ohio Street Lounge, with too many names to list.  Mike loved each and every one of you with his whole heart and he knew that each and every one of you loved him the same.  He will be dearly missed by many. A celebration of life and funeral mass will be held at a later date and information to be provided at that time. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to St Jude’s Hospital. Arrangements by Moskal and Kennedy Funeral Home, 219 Ohio St., Johnstown PA 15904.
