Obituary

Himmer, Michael Douglas, 61, of Johnstown, passed away October 7, 2022 at home. Born February 23, 1961 in San Diego, California. Preceded in death by father, Donald R. Himmer; maternal grandparents, Walter and Elmira Elizabeth Livingston; paternal grandparents, John and Jane Himmer; aunt, Roberta Forosisky-Verostick; cousin, Lynne Forosisky. Survived by loving mother, Mary (Livingston) Himmer; also by numerous cousins, neighbors and friends. Michael was a self employed writer and enjoyed learning and writing poetry. He attended services at Moxham Colonial Church of the Brethren. He loved Polar Bears and the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers and Pirates. Family will receive friends Friday, October 14th from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service at Moskal & Kennedy Colonial Funeral Home, Johnstown, Rev. William Wenger and Rev. Daniel Rhoades, officiating. Private burial Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Toys for Tots Charity in his memory. www.kennedycarefh.com.
