Joann Patricia (McCann) Sedei

Sedei, Joann Patricia, 98, Johnstown, passed away February 21, 2024 at Allegheny Health, Wexford, PA. Born June 28, 1925 in Johnstown, daughter of the late John Joseph and Mary Jane (Fugue) McCann. Preceded in death by husband, Henry Anthony Sedei; sons, William and Dennis Sedei; brothers, Paul McCann, KIA WWII in France; Donald and his wife Marguerite; Richard McCann; sister, Mary Bewak; brother-in-law, Fred Bewak; and by sister-in-law, Jane McCann. Survived by loving brother, John McCann, Pittsburgh; loving son, Gary S. Sedei married to Judy, Chester, MD; loving daughter who she resided with for many years, Elizabeth S. married to Dennis Hays, Baden, PA; grandchildren, Brian Driver married to Karen; Jennifer married to Mitchell LeMuiex; Christopher Sedei married to Danielle; Dennis Sedei married to Bethany and Nicole married to Cory Adams; great grandchildren, Nathan, Kylie, Maddison, Evan, Isabella, Luca, Isabella, Eva, Lilly, Charleigh and Lena; daughter-in-law, Kathy (Miller) Sedei, Johnstown; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Joann was a devout Catholic, dedicated life member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Johnstown where she was active in the Legion of Mary. She was a gifted seamstress and gardener, enjoyed water walking at the Johnstown YMCA, for decades an avid Pinochle enthusiast and was known for her famous raisin cake. Joann was employed as a bookkeeper at the former Johnstown Credit Bureau and retired as office manager for Inco Beverage serving over 20 years. Family will receive friends Monday, February 26th from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Moskal & Kennedy Colonial Funeral Home of Johnstown, where vigil service will be held. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 27th at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Johnstown, Very Rev. Matthew Baum. Committal next to her husband at Grandview Cemetery.
